GPACalc is built so the calculation happens on your device, not ours. This policy covers the small amount of data the site does touch.

Your grades stay on your device

The calculator, the semester tables, the weighting and scale toggles, and the target-mode math all run entirely in your browser using JavaScript. Course names, credits, grades, and target numbers are never transmitted to us or anyone else — there is no server-side component to send them to. You can verify this: load the page, turn off your network connection, and the calculator keeps working. A side effect worth stating plainly: because nothing is transmitted, nothing you enter can become a record anywhere.

Server logs

This site is hosted on Cloudflare. When your browser requests a page, Cloudflare processes standard request metadata — IP address, user agent, timestamp, requested URL — to deliver the page, protect against abuse, and measure aggregate traffic. We don’t combine these logs with identity information, because we don’t have any: there are no accounts, no sign-ups, and no forms that store data.

Advertising and cookies

If advertising is enabled on this site, it is served by third-party networks such as Google AdSense. Ad networks may set cookies or use similar identifiers to measure impressions and — where permitted — to personalize ads. You can opt out of personalized advertising through Google’s Ads Settings or with a browser that blocks third-party cookies. Every page works identically whether or not ads load.

Analytics

We may use privacy-respecting, aggregate analytics (no cross-site tracking, no personal profiles) to see which pages are used most. Numbers you type into the calculator are never included in analytics events.

Your choices

• All calculation happens locally; nothing is uploaded or saved.
• The site is fully readable with JavaScript disabled — only the interactive calculator needs it. The scale tables and worked examples are plain text.
• Ad and cookie preferences are controlled by your browser and your ad-network settings.
